Dr. Nicole Pernod
I am a licensed clinical psychologist, yoga instructor, and wellness coach. I completed my Doctorate in Psychology at Pace University, located in New York City. I have had the honour of witnessing clients transform their lives over the past 20 years. I understand that pursuing therapy can feel like a big step, and I’m here to support you throughout the journey.
I have worked in numerous hospital and outpatient settings, which sharpened my diagnostic skills and provided the opportunity to work with a range of clients. I have extensive experience working with children, teens, adults, and families.
I utilize a range of modalities including: Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Yoga, and Mindfulness. I offer holistic and empirically supported interventions based on your unique goals.
I am particularly interested in using nutrition, natural supplements, and environmental changes to improve mood. Factors such as: diet, mould exposure, toxic heavy metals, and TBIs (Traumatic Brain Injuries) will all be explored when creating a personalized treatment plan.
On a personal note, my own experience with chronic illness has led to a great respect for the role of food as medicine. I was able to heal from numerous conditions by eliminating toxins from my body and environment. It is my passion to help others do the same.
